Access for the Content Management System and PushPad (used for sending notifications) is managed in each respective platform. Provide access to administrators based on the tasks they will need to perform.

Content administrators in the Content Management System (CMS)

Most content administrators will be either Editors or Moderators.

Editors can

  • Create and edit draft pages

  • Create, edit and delete contacts

Moderators can do that, as well as

  • Review and publish draft pages

  • Create and edit political parties

Full administrators can do that, as well as

  • Edit settings, redirects

  • Create and modify user permissions

See the standard which full administrators can use to manage CMS users.

Adding/onboarding administrators

Decide what level of access they need according to the above outline, then have an administrator with full administration access create a user account for them.

Offboarding/removing administrators

Deactivate the account of an administrator that should not have admin access any more, rather than deleting them. That will allow edit history to make more sense, because it will still refer to the old account, but they will not be able to continue making changes to the content.

PushPad (sending notifications)

Administrators that need to send notifications will need to be added as members of the app project in PushPad.

The PushPad subscription owner account can add members, allowing them to send notifications.

To add/remove members,

  1. Send the email addresses of each new user, and/or the users to be removed to OpenUp, including a link to this documentation for them to complete the process.

is a platform used for sending notifications to app users that have subscribed in the app.

Each new user will need to create a free account at

OpenUp will then add/remove the provided accounts to/from the PushPad projects for each of the , as per the needs of each administrator.
