=sum()

allows you to add values

=max()

find the maximum value

=min()

find the minimum value

=average()

calculate the average of a set of values

=median()

calculate the median of a set of values (the value in the middle ie half the values are lower than the median & half the values are higher than the median)

=mode()

the most commonly occurring value

=count()

counts the number of vaules
