# Stage 4: Contract

After a bidder is selected, a letter of appointment is issued, signed by a delegated official. The two parties then draw up a **contract**, which may include a **service level agreement** (**SLA**). This governs the legal obligations of the appointee regarding fulfilment. 

### What to watch for:

The details of the awardee should be made publicly available on the **eTenders** website, however the contract specifics and details of any negotiations after the bid has been awarded are not. This can make it difficult to monitor firms who have been awarded tenders.
